Gospel Music Event In Support of Andrew Phipps

For many years, southern gospel groups and fans alike associate the name Andrew Phipps with gospel music in not only Muncie, IN, but all over the state of Indiana.

For over 30 years Andrew and his delightful wife Shirlean have promoted gospel concerts and anchored the Phipps Gospel Sing program over television and radio. In addition, they have toured all 50 states, most of Canada and several foreign countries with thousands of travelers as Phipps Gospel Tours. Each year at NQC, Andrew and his crew stay busy taping interviews with artists from all over the country for use on his TV program. Andrew and Shirlean have supported, encouraged and helped many artists in the industry over the years and although promoting concerts is no longer their main focus they still stay busy doing everything they can to ensure the southern gospel music stays alive and well all over Indiana.

Currently, Andrew is busy in his campaign as Republican candidate for Indiana State Senator and several artists who admire and respect him are helping with a special fund raising event for this important race.

The Andrew Phipps Gospel Music Extravaganza will be held on Monday, August 21 at 6:30PM in the Muncie Central High School at 801 N. Walnut St., Muncie, Indiana. The featured artists are: The Mark Trammell Trio, Woody Wright, Forgiven, The Galloways, Soul'd Out Quartet and Kenny Bishop. Woody Wright will also serve as emcee for the evening. Tickets are $15.00 in advance and $20.00 at the door, with children under 12 being admitted free. We believe in putting strong Christians in leadership roles across the country and we invite folks from all areas to participate in support of this event. Contact Andrew & Shirlean Phipps for more information: 765-288-5131.

This family has always been spirtual and all about the good lord I should know I am related to Andrew Phipps. My grandmother was Elizabeth Ann Phipps who married Manley Bowman. She was the daughter of Essie Mae Phipps. But this gospel group is really good.
