Gadsden, AL– Just one week after the National Quartet Convention, Southern Gospel quartet Gold City is still unpacking. Among the items returning home with them this year are two Singing News Fan Awards for Traditional Male Quartet and Favorite Baritone (Jonathan Wilburn). However, Gold City also returns from Louisville with a new Christmas record.
A Gold City Christmas is a ten-song album in its final stages of completion. Just in time for the Christmas season, the project will be available both in stores and at Gold City concerts in early November. In order to finish the record in time for the Holiday season, however, Gold City made use of their spare time during the National Quartet Convention by converting their adjoining hotel rooms into a remote recording studio.
By day, Gold City completed vocals on their newest project. By night, they took charge of the stage, singing songs from their debut project on Cathedral Records, Walk the Talk.
A Gold City Christmas is produced by Doug and Danny Riley, along with Channing Eleton.
