Gold City - Jun 06

Aaron McCune Joins Gold City

By now, I’m sure most of you have heard the news. Aaron McCune is our new bass singer. We are very excited to welcome Aaron. He is 25 years old. His wife’s name is Shannon, and he has a three year old son named Tyler. Currently, Aaron resides in Cookeville, TN. Later this year, he will be relocating to good ole Alabama.

Tonight was Aaron’s first night with us. We performed in Maryville, TN, at Maryville College. We had a great concert. Aaron did a super job. Be sure to say hello to Aaron, at the next Gold City concert.

Vacation!!

The past week and a half we have been on vacation. Everyone had a wonderful time. Steve and Dayna spent a few days in Nashville. Jonathan and his family spent a week in Panama City, FL. Josh’s girlfriend, Lindsey, came down from Indiana to visit. Kyle, Amy and Emma went to Florida to attend Kyle’s family reunion. Holly and I did not do a lot. I enjoyed spending quality time with Sadie.

19th Annual Gold City Homecoming

Our Homecoming is just around the corner. It is Friday, June 16 & Saturday, June 17. It will be held at the North Glencoe Baptist Church Campgrounds, in Glencoe, AL. Friday night’s lineup is New Ground, the Kingsmen, and Gold City. Jim Hamill will also be there, along with a KingsGold performance. Saturday night’s lineup is Michael Combs, the Dove Brothers, and Gold City. We invite everyone out for a fun-filled weekend. Be sure to bring your lawnchairs. For tickets or more information, please call 256-574-0138.

Singing News Top 5 Nominees

Jonathan and Josh would like to thank everyone for their Top 5 nominations. Jonathan is nominated for Lead Singer of the Year. Josh is up for Horizon Individual. Please check your Singing News for the deadline to send in your ballot. Of course, make sure you have checked Jonathan and Josh’s names.

Myspace

Gold City is now part of the Myspace world. Kyle has created a Gold City Myspace page. For those of you that frequent Myspace, check out our page. To be honest, I’m not real sure what Myspace is. I didn’t even know I had a space.
