Gold City

Gold City - Aug 06

I just wanted to take a moment to catch you up with all that is going on with Gold City. As usual, we have been very busy; on the road and in the studio. We have just returned from a trip to the Northwest and to Canada. We had a great time and made a lot of new friends. One family that was especially kind to us was the Milne's, from Montana. We had a day off during our trip, and they met us at Flathead Lake, in Elmo, Montana, with elk stew, a great western treat. Thank y'all for a great day!!

More from the trip out west...

During our trip, we spent a day in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Not long after arriving in town, several of the guys had already bought cowboy hats and boots. The rest of the day, Aaron seemed to have a little chip on his shoulder. As many of you know, Aaron is a "card carrying"? Cherokee Indian. It's Almost Here

Yesterday we were in the studio all day, finishing the tracks for our new album. I believe this will be one of our best efforts yet. We have been blessed with incredible songs, and there is a fresh excitement, among all the guys. We have just signed with a new record label, New Haven Records, and they are treating us like kings. Start watching for this, yet to be named, album in early September. Y'all hold on, this is gonna be a goodern!

"The City"

As many of you know, we have now graduated into the 21st century and have our very own Myspace page. A lot of our friends stop by regularly and leave us comments. Recently, we have been made aware a few of our friends on there have been referring to us as "The City."? Just like the good Baptists a lot of us are, word has spread among our ranks. Now, it seems everywhere we go, people are calling us "The City."? So, if you hear "The City"? is coming to town, be sure to stop by and pay us a visit.

NQC 2006

If you haven't already done so, there's still time to make plans to attend the 2006 National Quartet Convention. If you love Gospel Music, Louisville, Kentucky, is the place to be September 11th-16th. Gold City will be performing Monday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Be sure to stop by our booth and say hello. This will also be a great time to pick up our new CD.
