Eric Curtis Joins Christian Brothers Quartet

imageFAYETTEVILLE, North Carolina – Christian Davis, owner of Southern Gospel quartet Christian Brothers Quartet, is proud to announce that Eric Curtis will be joining the group immediately as the new baritone. Curtis, a Knoxville, Tennessee area native, is joining Christian Brothers Quartet after singing with such established groups as the Weatherfords, Wendy Bagwell and the Sunliters, and most recently the Daryl Williams Trio.

“I am so excited to be joining such a great group of guys,” said Eric. “Christian Brothers Quartet has a great sound, and the guys have a real heart for ministry. I am ecstatic at the thought of being a part of it.”

Christian Davis had nothing but the kindest words to say. “Eric is a fine vocalist who is more than capable of carrying his own. We believe that he is a natural fit for the group. We’re excited about traveling with Eric and getting to know him and his family.”

Eric is replacing Craig Odell who just recently left the group to pursue ministry on a more local level. Craig took the position of Minister of Music at Trinity Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas where his father pastors.

“There was absolutely nothing negative about my leaving the group,” said Craig. “I was offered the position with the church several months ago. I did not want to stop traveling with the guys, but after many months of prayer, God led me to take the position.”

“We wish Craig the very best in his new endeavor,” said Christian Davis. “We will miss him, but we are also very confident that God is directing us both down the paths that He has set.”

Eric Curtis will begin singing with Christian Brothers Quartet immediately. In addition to appearing on the Gaither Homecoming stage, Silver Dollar City, and the Artist Spotlight Showcase at the National Quartet convention last year, Christian Brothers Quartet is also one of the featured groups at this year’s SoGospelNews.com Convention on Friday, July 30, 2004.

Eric will do a great job. He came to my church several years ago with the Weatherfords and not only was his singing great, he was a really nice guy.

Sorry to hear Craig left but I really like Eric. I am sure he will be a good replacement. This group is as good as I have heard in a long time.
