Dora Pop Releases Debut Recording

Project Set To Release This Spring

Nashville, TN (February 28, 2008) – Dora Pop is scheduled to release her debut-recording project, Who Am I, this spring. Produced by Jason Wall, Who Am I features 10 songs penned by some of Southern Gospel's favorite songwriters, including Joel Lindsay, Marty Funderburk and rising songwriters Joseph Habedank and Matthew Holt. Who Am I also features a bonus track of the title song, penned by Rick Goodman, in Pop's native language of Romanian.

Gospel music's favorite mixed quartet, the Perrys, join renowned pianist, Gordon Mote, as just a few of the many talented musicians supporting Pop on Who Am I. "I was so impressed by her heart for ministry, and her ability to draw the listener in as she sings," exclaimed Mote. "She has an engaging personality, and I know people will love her and her new project." The Perrys join Pop on "The Rock," a song penned by Joseph Habedank and Matthew Holt. Libbi Perry Stuffle states, "Dora Pop is a name that is sure to be a household name before too long. Dora is not just another singer, she is a singer that first of all knows WHO she is singing about and secondly, knows WHAT she is singing about. She feels the song and in return you feel what she is singing, her love for Jesus Christ with every word that comes out of her mouth." The project also features many of Nashville's most acclaimed musicians Gospel music fans adore listening to --Brent Mason, Paul Franklin, Duncan Mullins, Bryan Sutton, Aubrey Haynie and Shannon Forrest making this a powerfully unique collaboration. Libbi Perry Stuffle says, "This is a must have album!"

Pop, began the recording process in late-October, 2007. "I grew up listening to and singing Southern Gospel music and always felt God calling me to this ministry. I've always dreamed of recording a project with such powerful songs from Southern Gospel's most phenomenal songwriters and such incredibly talented musicians, but I didn't think it would happen on my first project," stated Pop. "This project is testimony that whatever your dream is, God's dreams for you are bigger than yours."

Dora Pop was born in Oradea, Romania, and came to the United States at the age of two with her mother and sister. Her father had fled the country when Dora was six months old to come to America and provide a better life, full of religious freedoms, for his family. "My father is the greatest musical influence in my life," stated Dora. "Southern Gospel was practically the only music we were allowed to listen to growing up. Since my dad was raised in a communist era, he especially cherished the freedom of listening to Gospel music. He taught me the importance of having passion when singing about the Savior."

"Open The Sea," a ballad relating to God's ability to perform miracles, penned by Amy Henning, will be released to Southern Gospel radio in early-Spring. Pre-sales for Who Am I, begin March 15, 2008.
