Dale and Cheryl Golden - Summer In My Soul

Website: http://daleandcherylgolden.com

This group truly shares form their heart and is clearly seen through the words of their songs. You see, Dale Golden writes all of their songs from the testimony of his and Cheryl's lives. Dale's songwriting is causing people to stand up and take note.

I personally think that Dale and Cheryl shine on the more up tempo songs. I would have traded several of the slow ballads for some more upbeat or even medium tempo tunes.

My favorite two songs are at the beginning of the CD. "Marching Into Canaanland" has some hot piano licks on the track, and it's one of those songs that you can put in the CD and get yourself energized. Slowing the pace down a bit, "Music To My Ears" is a beautiful ballad with an uplifting message. Another ballad that I really liked was "I Will Fight On". The track is very light and simple with a nice flute adding personality to the song. "He'll Make The Wine" is a really nice upbeat song that encourages us to use our faith. If we do our part of drawing the water, He will finish the miracle and make the wine. That's a great hook.

The vocals are very nice, and the tracks are very clean. This CD is completely listener friendly.

Song List:

1. Marching Into Canaanland
2. Music To My Ears
3. Same Great God
4. For My Fathers Eyes
5. I Will Answer His Call
6. Sunshine Smiles
7. I Will Fight On
8. Summer In My Soul
9. He'll Make The Wine
10. Everything I'm Not
11. Without My Dad
12. Come Home My Trembling Child
