Clark Byron Pens Agreement With Calvary Communications

Kansas City, MO – Calvary Communications announces the acquisition of veteran singer/songwriter Clark Byron to its already impressive roster of Christian music talent, which includes the likes of Vern Jackson, Jody Miller, Dale Johnston, Jeff Buckles, Donnie Sumner and many more.

Byron's latest CD, In That Day, was released to the public in May of 2003, and thanks to Calvary Communications, the title cut is finally making its way to radio stations around the country, and to a resounding positive response.

Clark Byron was named Kansas City Christian Music’s (KCCM) 2001 Male Vocalist of the Year at the second annual KCCM Music Awards on May 18, 2002, in Kansas City. That win came on the heels of being named KCCM 2000 Songwriter of the Year, the previous year. Three nominees in each category are selected from a broad field of very talented independent Christian artists and composers through a process of online voting by the listening public.

Byron’s first album, Precious Cargo, was the project that garnered him these distinctive honors. Byron wrote all the material on the nicely produced album, which has been aired on some 30 U.S. stations as well as in the Netherlands, Australia, Russia, and Australia. Selections from the award-winning album are also heard on 10 MP3 web-based stations - including several foreign language stations, as well as a growing number of web-casting stations. Precious Cargo will be re-released to radio stations by Calvary Communications sometime in late 2004 and radio support for the album in the U.S. is expected to increase ten-fold.

Though Clark Byron has performed on many local television stations, he made is worldwide TV debut last May on the program Celebration on the DayStar Television Network. Clark was the musical guest on the program featuring the then Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore of Ten Commandments fame. The program was aired around the world four times per day for at least five days and garnered an enormous response to Clark’s music. More local, national and international television exposure is planned.
