Chris Hester is a fine young artist with definite country flair in his voice. The song selection is great. Every song seems to have been written to fit Chris' voice.
The CD opens with "Come Home", a song of invitation. The acoustic tracks let the message of the words come through real strong. "Too Far Down To Call" is a slower paced song that has a nice message and would come across on radio very well. I like the steel and fiddles on this track. Another nice radio cut would be "It's A Good Life". This song is up-tempo and sort of has you singing along with it. You can hear the Hinson influence as Chris pours his heart into the Ronnie Hinson song, "This Joy Is Mine".
There are two Ben Scroggs songs on this CD. They are both strong ballads.
Chris really shines on "Yes I Can" and "Down On My Knees". I can't tell which one I like best. Ben wrote two great songs, and Chris interprets them both with excellence.
Other songs include "One On One", "What Can I Do For Him?", "Love Is", and "Give A Little Back".

This is a great CD. I highly recommend it.
Chris cut 2 of my songs on this project, "One on One" (co-written with Gina Vera), and "What Can I Do For Him"(this song was originally written for an episode of "Touched By An Angel") ...and I was not disappointed with his vocal ability or overall professionalism and quality on these cuts,... or any others included on the recording!! I love this project and encourage you to get your own personal copy!!
Chris has one of the best Christian Country voices out there. He is a true Christian brother and talented musician. I have this cd in my car and would highly recomend you get one soon!

THANK YOU, for your music and your God given talent to sing and play the piano. I had the privilege to be in the studio when Chris made this project, and it was like GOD was there, along with my daughter who is in Heaven just clapping. She loved to here him sing at church. I heard Chris for the first time at Fan Festival and bought the CD the minute he left the stage. I played it all the way home to Florida, and now we play it before the evening service at church every Sunday. It is truly a fine country gospel album.

I would like to say that we seen Chris in concert in Tulsa recently and we were greatly blessed. After hearing him I had to have his CD. What a awesome voice, and most of all what a wonderful presents of God that we felt when he ministered to us in music!

I use to work at Chris's Radio Station KPGM a while back and talked to chris many times about his dreams and he shared with me over and over what he felt and what he should be doing. It really goes to show with you follow your heat and most of all follow the lord you will be blessed and truly blessed others. I have gone on to work for some of the biggest Radio stations around and it is neat after a long day of work turning the dial and listening to a song and at first you say that is Mike bowling and at the end of the song you hear Chris Hester hey I know that guy. Keep singing many praises to God and bringing blessings to others and most of thanks to others. I think for everyone follow your dreams and put God first in everything you say and do. This CD is a must have for any Christian Country or Southern Gospel music fan. If you like Mike Bowling or like the Hinsons you will love this CD. I can't wait for Chris to put out another project, what a great voice and God-given anointing he has.
