By Faith - Excited

Produced by: Troy Peach
Website: http://www.byfaithministries.com

The colorful cover certainly gets your attention. Then you pop in the disk and the music kicks of with the title cut "I'm Excited." There's a lot of great talent represented on this project. From background vocals contrubuted by such names as Angie Primm, Katy Peach, and Reggie Smith to songwriting by Rebecca Peck, Dottie Rambo, and Jimmy McMillian. Great musicians like Jason Webb and Steve Brewster give even more reason to get "Excited."

This project has lots going for it, and there's an aire of expectancy for it to be really great. Unfortunatly the second song, "Final Breath" wasn't quite as wonderful. I thought the album might be headed down hill, but all was not lost. This family trio made up of two brothers and one of their daughters has great family harmony. "Final Breath" was probably the weakest song on the project and perhaps was placed a little too early in the order. I was glad to hear "Rock at the Door," which gave me hope that the album could still have great potential. The possitive feeling contined through "Double Portion" on which I really enjoyed the vocals. "Welcome Home Child" had the band showing off, and I caught myself singing along. I'm sure audiences love it. "Paradise Alone" was a change of pace, and one of my favorites on the cd. "He Keeps Leading Me On" didn't hold my attention for very long. I felt my mind wandering.

"Tears Will Never Stain The Streets Of That City" was probably the strongest vocal for young Heather. She shows some great potential vocally and certainly has a mature tone, and stong southern influence is evident. "Shoutin' Hallelujah Gone to Meetin' Song," written by Marcia Henry, was absolutely my favorite cut. Any lover of SG will love this tune. In fact I would recommend listening to this project if for no other reason than to enjoy this song.

"He rose a King" finished off the cd with a powerflul message. Once again their tight family harmony shone and Jason Webb out did himself with the beautiful orchestration particularly on this number. For a group that's only been doing this about 5 years, By Faith is headed in the right direction. It's clear that a lot of talented people worked hard on this project and they believe in "By Faith." After listening to them, I'm starting to as well.

I will have to agree with Adam. This is the best album they have released to date. Even though I like some of their other songs, this is a great project! There are many people in this business I enjoy working with, but my family and I love working with "By Faith" the most. These people are real! We love you guys! Keep on working for the Lord! Your hard work will pay off in the end!

There are several things that make up a great recording, and a great group for that matter. One of course is the production, the selection of material, the ability of the artist, the mix, mastering etc. I must tell you this CD has it all. I am so proud that 'BY FAITH" is a group that knows how to put a quality recording together. But knowing them the way I do, it's so much more than tight family harmony, good production, great songs, and a good mix that makes this group and their recording so great. It's the life that they live, and the touch of God that makes the difference. I love this family, and I hope everybody will get this CD and be as blessed as my family has been by this wonderful group. HEY...keep your eyes open for "BY FAITH", they are the real deal.......

I think that this cd is the best that these guys have done by far. I love all the songs. The songs have great meaning. There are uplifting songs, and then there are the songs that make you think. I hope that they go far in their ministry for the Lord.

It was indeed an honor to produce this album for By Faith. This is a group that has HUGE, HUGE potential in the Southern Gospel Industry. I have seen them grow to become absolute fantastic artists. Each one of them posesses that extra special something that makes a group great. I'm proud to call them my freinds and peers! We are proud of you guys! Can't wait till the next one!
