Booth Brothers Thank Fans for SGN Music Awards

Booth Brothers Win a Record Setting 8 SGN Music Awards
Groups Thanks Fans for Their Unending Support

NASHVILLe, Tenn. – The Booth Brothers, one of Southern Gospel’s most beloved trios, were awarded a record setting eight SGN Music Awards this week. The awards were handed out at a special Awards Celebration on Tuesday evening, April 25, 2006 in Smyrna, Tennessee.

The Booth Brothers won ovations in the categories of Song of the Year (“He Saw It All”), Album of the Year (The Blind Man Saw It All), Male Group of the Year, Traditional Southern Song of the Year (“He Saw It All”), and Fan Favorite Artist of the Year. Lead vocalist Ronnie Booth was awarded the coveted Male Vocalist of the Year, and Jim Brady was awarded Songwriter of the Year (Artist).

The Booth Brothers were also given the Pacesetter Award – the evening’s biggest award that honors any artist, song, album, individual, company, etc. that raised the standard in the industry for the previous year.

“We were just so honored to be nominated in so many categories this year,” mentioned Michael Booth of the Booth Brothers. “We didn’t go into Tuesday night expecting to win anything, but our fans just kind of showed up and proved otherwise. We are so grateful for them and all their hard work. We are just glad that they loved the new album and the songs that we recorded.”

Jim Brady responded on Tuesday night after his Songwriter of the Year (Artist) win, “It was such an honor to be nominated in the Songwriter category with such great writers. This is such a huge surprise. Thanks to all of you who voted for me!”

“When I started singing, I never would have dreamed that I would be doing it full time someday,” mentioned Ronnie Booth on Tuesday night. “Now to win an award like Male Vocalist of the Year is just unfathomable. This means so much to me.”

“We have so many people that we could thank for these awards, but all of gratitude goes to our fans for coming and supporting us,” said Michael Booth. “Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!”

In addition to winning the eight Ovations on Tuesday, the Booth Brothers also performed at the Awards Celebration. The group performed their #1 hit, “He Saw It All.”

The nominees for the SGN Music Awards were chosen by the staff of SouthernGospelNews.com, and the winners were then chosen by the fans and readers of SouthernGospelNews.com.
