Bible Factory Outlet Sponsors “Music At The Mills” Free Concert With Dottie Rambo

ALBERTVILLE, ALA., October 24, 2003: Bible Factory Outlet's Opry Mills store (Nashville, Tenn.) will host a free performance and album signing with Spring Hill Music recording artist, Dottie Rambo. The event will take place from 12:00 noon till 1:30 pm on Saturday, November 8th at the Opry Mills Mall Entertainment Court Stage as part of the "Bible Factory Outlet presents Music at The Mills" concert series sponsored by Bible Factory Outlet, Solid Gospel 105FM, and Opry Mills Mall. Dottie will perform selections from her new album Stand By The River, which released in July. Kentuckian Guitar Company of Beattyville, Ky., will be giving away an autographed signature edition guitar from their new Dottie Rambo Guitar line at the event.

Grammy recipient, multiple-award winner and GMA Hall of Fame member, Dottie Rambo is undisputedly the "Queen of Gospel Music". Her musical career has spanned more than six decades and her songs have woven themselves into the very fabric of Gospel Music history. A gifted performer and songwriter, Dottie Rambo has written classic Gospel standards including "He Looked Beyond My Faults and Saw My Need," "We Shall Behold Him," "If That Isn't Love," "I Go To The Rock" (also recently performed by Whitney Houston on The Preacher's Wife movie soundtrack) and many, many others. A songwriter who has published more than 2500 songs thus far in her life, her tunes have been recorded by a wide variety of artists, including Whitney Houston, Elvis Presley, Barbara Mandrell, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, The Oak Ridge Boys, Sandi Patty, and a multitude of others.

Dottie's new album Stand By The River, is ample evidence that the passing of time has only strengthened this woman's gifts. A collection that includes some of her favorite songs from past projects combined with brand-new compositions, Stand By The River was produced by Michael Sykes (Oak Ridge Boys, Gaither Vocal Band). The new project is inspiring and offers several musical styles from the rousing strains of "I'm Gonna Leave Here Shoutin'," to the classic "We've Weathered Storms Before," to the title track, a duet with the renowned Dolly Parton - a longtime friend and supporter throughout Dottie's career. Released to Christian country radio, the song went to #1.

Stand By The River is an exciting project from a woman who has spent her life sharing the gift with which God blessed her. But that doesn't mean she is finished yet! "I've had a couple of songs make the hymnbooks. That makes me sound like I'm 104," she says with a laugh. "But I wouldn't mind if a couple of these new ones were found worthy for that. I can't think of anything that's better than writing and singing about my Lord."
