Amazed Nominated for Denison Mainstreet Showcase Award

SHERMAN, Texas – 2005 Diamond Award winning Duet of the Year Amazed was recently greeted with the news that they have received a nomination for Group of the Year at the Denison Mainstreet Showcase Awards.

“We are totally elated to receive this nomination,” mentioned Cathie Marsh of Amazed. “We are so grateful to those who voted for us!”

“God has really blessed our ministry,” mentioned Tamie Perkins of Amazed. “These kinds of nominations and awards are really nice, but if it was not for His hand on our ministry, we would be nowhere.”

The Denison Mainstreet Showcase Awards are a yearly award handed out to groups that perform at the Denison Mainstreet Showcase in Denison, Texas. The showcase features weekly live performers.

Amazed also was a featured performer at the 2006 SGM FanFair which was held last week in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

“We had a really good time at FanFair,” mentioned Tamie Perkins. “Everyone was so great, and we really enjoyed spending time with the other groups.”

Amazed is currently being booked by Calvary Communications. Calvary Communications is based out St. Charles, Missouri. In addition to Amazed, Calvary Communications also works with Naomi & the Segos, Vern Jackson, Inheritance Trio, the Kirklands, and many more.

Amazed is currently in the beginning stages of preparing for the group’s second album for the Eddie Crook Company’s Morning Star Records. The group is currently selecting songs for the album. Tamie and Cathie will be recording during the first part of this year for an anticipated summer release.

About Amazed
Amazed is based out of North Texas. The duo, consisting of Cathie Marsh and Tamie Perkins, was established in the year 2000 with a simple song, two willing souls, and a Mighty God who had a plan far greater than anyone imagined. A Taste of Heaven was the group’s first recording. On November 1, 2004, Amazed signed an exclusive recording contract with the Eddie Crook Company Morning Star Records. They began recording with ECC in January and look for hearts to be touched and lives to be changed as they continue to share the songs of truth in God’s Word to many audiences.
