A Slippery Patch

Hey, guys and gals, Janice wanted me to let everyone know that she is not having an article this month. Her husband, Bruce, fell on the ice in St Louis, last Tuesday evening and broke his hip. Apparently it wasn't a pretty sight. She had to get help just to get him in the car to get him to the hospital. I'm not sure why Bruce called Janice instead of an ambulance first, but he didn't so he waited in the freezing cold for 30 minutes before Janice could get to him. Janice has never claimed that Bruce was the brightest bulb in the lamp, but she loves him anyway. smile

So on Wednesday morning, Bruce had hip surgery needing three pins to put his hip back together. Janice says that between going from work to the hospital, because she has to stay there until they chase her out, she just didn't get her article done this month. She also says that because Bruce is such a "good" patient that he is running her ragged the whole time she is there. I just cannot imagine Bruce being that kind of patient, he seems so kind and full of patience. He is such a nice guy.

Well, Janice assures me that she will be back next month writing her usual exciting, inspiring, and astounding article. She may even give all the gory details about Bruce's accident. Be sure to keep Bruce and Janice in your prayer. I'm sure that both of them are going to need it.

Dear Janice and Bruce: So sorry to hear of the accident and pray that God will heal Bruce completely. I understand Bruce calling Janice first, I did the same thing 22 years ago when I fell and broke my foot, ankle and toe. A neighbor found me and I had her call my husband and waited until he got there to be transported. I just felt safer with him present and now that he has gone to be with Jesus I think back how many times my husband was there for me. I pray that both of you will be o.k. from this. Janice, I miss your articles when one is missing. Thank God for spirit filled Christians who mean so much to we shut-ins. God Bless,
    Martha Morgan, Birmingham, AL

Thanks, Martha, for your prayers and support. As Joel Lindsey's song says, "Life is Hard, but God is Good." Janice
