God Is In Control

GOD IS IN CONTROL!!! That is all we need to know. No matter what happens, no matter how bad or how good it gets, we have no need to worry. God has all of his children In His Arms and under his ever watchful eye. Well it is time to introduce the two brothers that started The Cavaliers Quartet back in the early 90's. They are Anthony and Wayne O'Neal (remember-the 54th cousins twice removed of Ed O'Neal-Dixie Melody Boys). I told Ed at NQC that I was referring to him in these articles that way and he got a pretty good chuckle out of that. Anthony and Wayne, as many in the industry did, started at a very young age. One of the first things that these two brothers did was lead worship for a start up church that was meeting in a store front in Fayetteville Tennessee. They were around 7 and 8 years old. Wayne, which had been playing the piano since age 5, provided the music and Anthony led the singing. So music has been a great part of their lives. By the way, that church has grown into a much larger church and runs a Christian school also. GOD IS GOOD! They got their first taste of Gospel Music when they were part of a mixed quartet in their home church. When that group stopped singing, Anthony and Wayne felt a call to evangelistic music ministry.

The beginning of that ministry started as a trio and later grew into a quartet that had the same four guys together for 10+ years. That is hard to find. Anthony has been the baritone of the group from the beginning. He is the younger of the two brothers. Anthony has also been active in his home church when he is not on the road. That is one thing the entire group does is to be active in our own community also. His love for Christ and seeing souls brought into the kingdom is easy to see when you hear this group. He does most all of the speaking during concerts and church services and has a heart for worship. Wayne is the older of the two brothers. He started on the high end and later came down to the lower chords. He started as the tenor of the group. As the group changed and his voice changing, he moved to the bass part. That seems to be the natural progression of tenor singers, start high then go low. His bass voice rocks the house when he sings and fills out the sound of this quartet. He too has a heart for souls and loves to see people go from the despair of sin to the delight of salvation. Wayne is also active at his church and can play almost anything that is put into his hands.

Stay tuned next month as we will have some GREAT news from the Cavaliers Quartet. We will be going in to put the finishing touches on our newest project. We will also have information about our upcoming concert video shoot happening in early 2009. You can also keep up with us at http://www.cavaliersquartet.com .

Until Next Month!

InHisTime's avatar Amen! I could not agree with you more of your statement, "GOD IS IN CONTROL!!! That is all we need to know. No matter what happens, no matter how bad or how good it gets, we have no need to worry. God has all of his children In His Arms and under his ever watchful eye."

As we dwell and abide in Him, we are kept under the power and shelter of His mighty wings!(Psalm 91)

    Many blessings to you!

Amazed in His presence and humbled by His great love!
