Matthew Holt Departs The Perrys

The Perrys piano player, Matthew Holt is leaving the group following his appearances this weekend. According to a statement made to SG Reporter, Tracy said: "Life is a series of seasons and this group has been blessed to enjoy Matthew's talents for a fantastic season. He's a very fine pianist and an even better young Christian gentleman, husband and father. We know great things are in store for him and we fully support him in his decision."

Holt is accepting the position of assistant director of the Renaissance Music Program at Bethel College in McKenzie, TN. Renaissance, Bethel’s “performance troupe” uses choirs, ensembles and soloists to showcase the talents of Bethel students. Bethel's website says the group performs a wide range of musical styles including: bluegrass to jazz, show tunes to "doo-wop" and the best-loved songs of faith, both traditional and contemporary.

No information on who will replace Holt has been given at this time.
