King's Heralds

King’s Heralds

We know, we know..better late than never. It seems as if there are never enough hours in a day to get everything done especially when when you are on the road. For those of you who have ever been on the road for any length of time you know all about highways, hotels and late night pizza!

We just finished a 10 day tour of Texas. We had a great time seeing our friends that we only see once maybe twice a year. We had a wonderful time with Harold Marshall and all of our friends at Lake Country Jubilee where we sang with Gold City and Poet Voices at the performing arts center in Terrell, Texas. We have to admit that in all of our years on the road it had been a while since we had seen fog that thick. It was so thick that you couldn't see 10 feet in front of you!! A major highlight of our tour was when we got to spend time and sing with our former first tenor John Ramsey. John sang in the quartet from 1971-1981. Let me tell you he sounds as good as ever!! We finished our trip in McAllen, Texas and then started the 22 hour drive home.

Many of you have been asking about when we are coming out with a new recording. It is in the works. We are rehearsing and will be going into the studio soon to record an hymns project with the next month or two. It's hard when you have such a limited amount of time home to balance everything out and make sure that everything at home and in the office gets done.

We want to thank everyone who have supported this ministry with your prayers, finances ,bookings etc. during 2007. To the promoters who have booked our group we thank you and look forward to working with you again. To the DJ's thank you for playing our music. Radio is a very important part of what we do. It enables us to be heard by people who may never have the opportunity to hear the quartet in concert, but more importantly it is a great tool to help spread the gospel. To all of the pastors who have hosted the quartet at your church we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Finally, to all the good people who have come out to our concerts we thank you for your support. Without you we could not do what we do. We have felt your prayers and we thank you. 2007 was a year of opportunity and 2008 is shaping up to be a year of even greater opportunity. We will keep you posted as we get the details and things become finalized.

Last but not least, our website is back online. It is not finished yet but at least you can log on and keep up with our comings and goings. If you live on the west coast keep your eye out for us this spring we are finalizing everything right now. After everything has been nailed down, we will post the schedule on our website http://www.theheralds.org.We look forward to seeing everyone on the road. Come out and see us when we are in your area.

We hope to see these guys in concert in U.K next year.I was expecting the Kings Heralds to be nominated for more than two awards. Jeff should have been nominated the best bass singer of the year. I enjoyed listening to his low notes on their latest dvd and the encores cd. God bless you guys. YOU ARE THE BEST !
