Statler Brothers - "A Place On Calvary"

Going back to their roots, The Statler Brothers made their last recording a Southern Gospel record. This song has some good get up and go. Written by one of the Statler’s kids, this is a great quartet song, including a solid Bass line. Your listeners are sure to enjoy this cut by a group not normally heard on SG radio. Crossroads Airplay Sampler - January 2003- cut # 6

Exalted - "Gabriel Play"

When it’s time to slow the pace down a bit, give this not as well known group a shot. This is my "sleeper of the week". The song is very pretty and the track is nice complete with orchestration. The message is what will reach your audience. It will bring their eyes to looking for Jesus’ soon return. Close harmony on a great ballad, so treat your listeners to this one. Lamp Music Group - Volume 21 - cut # 7

Signature Sound - "The Old Time Way"

Here’s a big sound from a new group that is sure to make a BIG splash. They sound like they have been singing together for years. All of you wanting that group to replace the sound of the Cathedrals, well here it is. "Nuff" said, I promise you’ll be getting requests for this one after the first spin. Heritage Gold - Volume 33 - Cut # 2

Still Water - "I’m Settin’ Sail"

Whoa, get on your riding boots for this one. It starts off running and doesn’t stop until the last note. Literally featuring a little bit of every singer the message is that of hope. The big ending has the Bass hitting an awesome low note. Give this one a listen and a spin. Zion Music Group - Compilation # 29 - cut # 7

    DJ's
As a young 32-year-old father, you need to continue to try and reach a new generation. Take a good look at Three Bridges. They have a new and exciting sound to move Southern Gospel to new heights. My family and me enjoy listening to their fresh and enthusiastic sound and request that you all do your part in reaching souls by providing music that reaches all generations.

    Have a Blessed Day

Thanks Dion for this section at SoGospelNews. It's very helpful in getting ideas for new additions at our radio station. It's amazing how many times we agree with your recommendations.

I really like "The Old Time Way" by Signature Sound. They are certainly an up and coming Gospel Group.
