Chris and Steven Cooper
I was able to contact the parents of two young southern gospel artists and asked for a little bit of information about their children. Since I could not contact BOTH of these singers and it is Mother's day soon, I went ahead and decided to let their MOM tell you about them

Mike Bowling takes the #1 position this week, while Randy Travis holds the fans #1 vote. Greatest gain is a tie this week with SoulReal's "The Crying Tree of Mercy" going from #17 to #8 and Best of Friends' "Chains Gone, Set Free" going from #19 to #9. The Old Time Gospel Hour Quartet stand as highest on the chart after dropping off. Deon's Radio Picks
Kingdom Heirs – “Mighty Deep Well”
This is the first radio release from the Kingdom Heirs since their personnel changes, and I must admit that you have to listen close to hear any difference. The harmony is still mighty tight. This song is one of encouragement. Your listeners are sure to enjoy this cut. Crossroads Airplay Sampler – April 2003 – cut # 3
Greater Vision – “He Is To Me”
This is the first radio release from the long awaited “Quartets” CD and this cut uses the Bass voice of Legacy Five’s Glenn Dustin. Close harmony and a tune that is a toe tapper are just two of the many reasons to play this song in your heavy rotation spots right off the bat. This song is bound to get the attention of your audience. Daywind Radio Disc – Volume # 48 – cut # 1
Jake Hess Jr – “Let There Be”
Here’s my “sleeper of the week”. No it’s not a misprint, that is Jake Hess Jr, and I must say he does a fine job on this lovely ballad. Joining him is his lovely wife, Judy Martin Hess, and together they have produced a cut that is easy listening and will be a nice break from all of the quartets that you have just played. The track has a neat acoustical feel to it. Mission House Music Group – Radio Disk Volume # 2 – cut # 8
The Gabbards – “I Believe I’ll Run On”
Here’s a nice upbeat song that would fit well into your drive time clock. The uplifting message combined with the close harmony and the excitement with which they sing this cut should make some of your listeners fans of this group. Give this tune a chance, I believe that your audience will enjoy it. Eddie Crook Company – Volume # 0303 – cut # 1
