Great list Dale. I agree 100% on your list. I am afraid our church staffs of today are trying by any means possible to do away with our great hymns. If they knew how bad the new praise and 7-11 music they are doing on the platform are terrible. The old hymns are actually the real praise and worship music. The newer praise and so called worship songs will be forgotten in six months. Hopefully churches will wake up and ban the so called praise and worship racket and get back to the real hymns that praise God like praise him praise him tell of his excellent greatness.

Dear Dale: Thanks so much for your favorite list of hymns. So true to life. I am a 76 year old female who has played either the piano or organ since age 9 in church services for the 3 different churches I had membership at that time. I am now in a stage 4 cancer battle with 2 surgeries and chemo. I am only able to play at home now, my piano or keyboard and the good old standard hymns have kept my spirits going. Clear out the choruses and other "perk them up" songs out of the Worship service and sing of the love of Jesus and his Second Coming. Thank you for letting me say my "piece".
