According to a newsletter sent out today from Ernie Haase and Signaturre Sound, Roy Webb will no longer be playing piano for the group. It has recently been reported that Roy Webb had to attend to some urgent family needs concerning his estranged father.
The following message was left by Ernie on the Signature Sound Message Boards:
Michael,
An on going bad situation worsened this weekend..... Roy's estranged father has been fighting cancer and is right at deaths door. Roy said it is very VERY bad! In the light of the situation and the fact that there are years and years of "issues" between them that need to somehow come to a close "Real Fast" He (Roy) felt the right thing to do was come off the road and "Deal" with these "Real Issues" of life, death, family and healing.
All the guys and the families of EHSS support Him and request prayer for Roy and his family as they wade through these uncharted waters.

My heart goes out to Roy & my prayers are with him. May God give him the wisdom & direction to deal with these issues. My prayers are with SSQ, too, as they seek to find another pianist.
God is good all the time & all the time God is good.

Roy Webb will most certainly be missed. He was an very integral and enjoyable part of EH&SS;
Roy will definitely be missed, although I am thankful to know that his priorities are proof that he is a true Christian gentleman... We love you, Roy! God bless the rest of Sig Sound with Ernie as you all find someone to fill his shoes - and his piano bench!

Is it possible Roy will be back at some point? I don't want to see him gone forever from the group.
Roy definitely will be missed. I loved his humor and sweet nature. I know what it's like to have an estranged father and the personal questions that need to be answered. Pain is very real and I'm happy that Roy has the courage to do what I never had the opportunity to. God Bless you Roy. We hope to hear how you're doing soon.
May God continue to bless Roy Webb. I'm personally grateful for his talent on the piano, his wit, his sacrifice in service and his friendship with the guys from SSQ.
Just want to say that I saw Signature Sound last night in Peoria Illinois. Have enjoyed them for a long time, and while I sorely missed seeing Roy, it was a very smooth transition. One of the good things is that the rest of the quartet are taking a more active part in the dialogue. I appreciated Ernie's tact in his handling of what had to have been a difficult situation. Kudos to you Ernie, Ryan, Doug and Tim.
We are sad to see that Roy is no longer with EEHSS but one thing I know "God's Word is true" Honor thy father & mother for this is the first commandment with promise." Long life is that promise.
I was very sad and I even cried when I've read that Roy "will no longer be the piano player for EHSS". I was totally shocked when I read the email from Ernie. I'm praying for Roy every day since that moment. After the problems are over, I would like to see Roy back in the group. They are not a real "team" without him! God bless you, Roy!
I WOULD HAVE HOPED THAT ROY'S RESIGNATION WAS NOT ACCEPTED, COULD THE GROUP HAVE ALLOWED A TEMPORARY "FAMILY EMERGENCY" LEAVE....
I am so very sorry that Roy Webb is no longer with EH&SS;. He was a real asset to the group. I know that God will work out the family problems that he is faced with. It seems like every time something great is being done to glorify the Lord the devil can't stand it. I ask God to bind the devil away from the group and let them be able to do their ministry without his interference.
I fell in "love " with SSq when they first got started. Ernie has been a favorite of mine for years along with George. I will truly missw
My prayers and thoughts are with Roy Webb during this sad time in his life. My children went through the same situation 12 years ago and needless to say it is very trying.
I am just now learning to use the computer and just now was able to find out why Roy is no longer with the group. When I first found out that he no longer was with the group I was in complete denial and was heart broken. Then I got this computer and understand why he had to leave. I feel for him in his loss, I, too, lost my father to cancer 34 years ago. God bless you and your family, Roy, and maybe some day you can rejoin Sigsound. Barb
it's seems really unusual for Roy tp leave like that' The rest of the guys are really fabulous, by he leaves a really big hole. You would think!friends could have worked thins out just a little bit beter.
We love your group and will be seeing you in October in Sioux Center, IA We were on a Gaither Alaskan tour a couple years ago and it was fantastic. I talked to you, Ernie at that. Sure wish you could come to our City. We have lots of locations where you could go. Personally I would love to see you, Ernie and Signature Sound at the Orpheum Theatre. No matter what location you would choose I know you could fill it up. Darlene Nieuwendorp
