Dottie Rambo Day on XM’s enLighten34

Friday, March 2nd is the birthday of this truly legendary Gospel songwriter, as well as singer. Throughout the day, beginning not later than 6 AM ET, and into the evening, enLighten will be featuring the songs and the recordings of Dottie Rambo and from her tenure in the trio, the Rambos.
Dottie Rambo has written over 2,500 inspirational songs … with the first of those being written more than 60 years ago … and they’ve been recorded by the likes of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, Whitney Houston, as well as many of today’s Southern Gospel artists.

At the same time, Dottie has many awards to her credit … including a Grammy, several Dove awards, Singing News Fan Awards and Billboard magazine awards. And, she’s been inducted into the Gospel Hall of Fame and the Southern Gospel Hall of Fame. Plus, as a Kentucky native …in 2006 Dottie Luttrell Rambo was inducted into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame. However, Dottie will be the first to tell you that her greatest “rewards” come from her fans and those who sing the compositions she has written.

How many Dottie Rambo songs will be heard on enLighten 34 on Friday, March 2nd? Tune in by 6 ET that morning and begin counting!

"I'm so honored that enLighten has chose to honor me on my birthday. I hope that my songs will be a gift to you from enLighten radio as they have this special day for me. What a special birthday gift! Now remember folks just because it's my birthday doesn't mean it's polite to ask a lady her age!" says Dottie.

If you’d like to send Dottie a birthday card, she’d love receiving it. Her address is: Post Office Box 120039, Nashville, Tennessee 37212
