Behind the Songs

NEW Project by THE BRADLEYS- Just for kids! (and adults who are young at heart)

After seventeen years in fulltime gospel music, The Bradleys have finally realized one of their fondest goals- The first volume in a series of gospel music productions for children. Recently, nominated for a Dove Award for their latest CD with Lamon Records entitled, “So Glad”, The Bradleys keep moving forward!

Jennifer McCallister, backed by the Sounds Of Praise Children’s Choir, leads an outstanding collection of children’s songs. The Choir is a group of home school kids organized by the Walkertown Home Educators. Jennifer has been working with the choir for the past three years. Now, the kids are taking singing engagements in churches and nursing homes around Winston-Salem, NC.

It is the goal of the group to reach children all over America and around the world with these special messages of God’s love. In an effort to help spread the good news of salvation to the youth, The Bradleys in cooperation with Word on the Street Ministries plan to give a Bible and CD to as many kids as possible.

“Children are the innocent victims of our culture which is becoming more Godless and immoral every day,” says group member Shirley Bradley, “We love kids. We want them to know that God loves them and that there is a place of safety and peace in this troubled world---IN CHRIST”

Some churches who have previewed the CD have offered to help with the distribution of free CD’s to children who haven’t heard the gospel, and to kids whose families cannot afford to buy one. One church is sending some to an orphanage in Romania.

The CD includes some new songs, old hymns and spiritual songs. Each is arranged in a special way which seems to delight and inspire children of all ages. Every one is preceded by a scripture verse quoted by kids from the choir. The unique instrumentation makes this a very fun CD. The musical styles carry the listener from The Old World to the Caribbean, from a Circus to a Big Band and more.

Future plans include: DVD, performance tracks, printed music, and Bible school/Sunday school programs.

The Bradleys, Jennifer McCallister, The Sounds of Praise Children’s Choir, Lamon Records of Charlotte, NC, Salem Sound of Winston Salem, NC, Producers: Nelson McSwain and Dave Moody, musicians: David Johnson, Lewis Wells, Josh Moody, Dave Moody, Bobby McCallister, Milton Smith, and Richard Putnam all have contributed greatly in creating this masterful and inspiring CD which we are confident will be a wonderful tool in helping to win our young people to Christ.
