Devotional - Got To Get A God Said

"You got to get a God said to walk on the raging sea, You got to get a God said and act on what He speaks, God said it, I believe it, and that settles it for me, I believe I got a God said and what God said says it all for me." So goes the chorus of a new song written by Daryl Williams and Mary Brown, and recorded by Kirk Talley on his new project, "Net Breaking, Boat Sinking, Bountiful Blessings". And it's a great song with a great message. So many times people want to believe God; they want to trust Him that everything is going to work out, but they don't want to submit to His Word. They want to just pray and have God miraculously come to their aid, but never check to see if what they're praying lines up with the Word. And that's sad. We have a loving Heavenly Father Who wants to bless us, Who wants to come to our rescue, but it is our responsibility to get in position for blessing. There's not a promise in the Bible that doesn't have some sort of qualifying condition. We talk about Salvation being a free gift, and it is. But if you don't accept it, it won't do you any good. It's that way with all of God's blessings. I don't know what you may be facing today. There's no way I could know. You may need healing for your physical body. God promises that in His Word. Are you in position to receive? You may need financial blessings. God promises that in His Word. Are you in position to receive? You may need many other things that are promised in the Word. But whatever it is, you must be in position to receive. You need a "God Said". When you get out your Bible and dig and read until you find a "God Said" on your situation, then your faith can lock hold of that, and you're in position to receive. But you got to get a "God Said." There are plenty of them in the Word. You've just got to get in there and dig until you find yours. "Busted and disgusted, failed on every hand, Trying to get to the top of the hill living on the word of man, Change you direction, live in subjection to the Word that comes from God Just be led by the "written in red"; get ready for a brand new start." Where ever you are, whatever you're facing, there's a promise of God in the Word for you. You can make it! You can be an over comer. You've just got to get a "God Said!"
