Welcome back to the second installment of Ask SoGospelNews. It seems the article is a hit, considering last month's article had more views than my last three A Different Perspective articles combined. What gives? I know, it's my witty banter.
Anyways, currently spinning in my CD player are premier Christian storyteller/songwriter Mark Schultz's Stories and Songs, The Martins' Above It All, LordSong's "Stronger For It", and Harry Connick, Jr.'s Harry for the Holidays. I love Christmas music. It puts me in such a great mood.
On with the questions
--------------------
QUESTION:
I am trying to find out who sings the song Speak The Word Lord, the lyrics are as follows,
(Lyrics taken out to preserve length of article)
I would like to order a recording of this song. Can you help me?
Sincerely Yours,
Charlene Richards Comer
Coldwell Banker Foremost Realtors
ANSWER:
Thanks for the question Charlene Richards Comer. Cool, you work for a bank. My bank's the best. They totally went out of their way to help me out when one of my checks was stolen. Well, that is after I got charged overdraft fees out the wazoo. But you know what? They were nice afterwards.
To answer your question. I believe the song you are looking for is by The New Hinsons, which was a hit song for them back in 1993. I'm not sure which album it was originally on, but it can be found on their greatest hits record. I know for sure that you can order the soundtrack through GospelGallery.com, but I'm not sure whether the album is available anymore or not.

QUESTION:
Hello.
I missed something in the last little while. Why on earth is Jonathan Martin out of the Martins, and on his own?
Thanks,
Alana Anthony

ANSWER:
Well Alana, being the foremost expert on all things Martins, I think I can shed a little light on the subject. Originally, Jonathan left the group to pursue a little more family time. He left a little over a year ago, and The Martins then enlisted the help of the oh-so-cool Paul Lancaster. Currently, Jonathan is pursuing a solo career and is handled with Gateway Promotions. In addition to a solo career, Jonathan is a part of Mission House Music Group, label home to the cool fellas of the New Destiny Quartet among others.
Anywho, I hope this helps you out a little bit. It seems Jonathan has his hands full currently. Do not fear for The Martins, they sound better than ever, and Above It All is one of the best albums to be released in ANY genre of music. "The Promise" will be their biggest hit to date.

QUESTION:
Chris,
I really enjoyed your A Different Perspective article about your internship with Spring Hill Music Group. Are you still interning there? If not, what are your plans for the future?
Brian Benson
ANSWER:
Brian, thanks for your inquiry into the life of the oh-so jobless ME. I get asked this question all the time, since I never followed up the article like I promised. As great as it was, we all know that all good things must come to an end. My hat goes off to the great marketing staff at Spring Hill for a job well done in introducing me to the music industry. I finished up my internship there at the end of July and graduated from Lee University with a degree in Communications (Public Relations/Advertising Emphasis) on August 2, 2003. I am currently on the job hunt, so anyone looking to hire an experienced, or so I like to think so, individual, give me a call!
Apparently that article struck a nerve in the industry, as I started to receive hate mail and phone messages from a certain unnamed record label (*cough* Daywind! *cough*). Let's just say, if you can't take the heat, maybe you should get out of the proverbial kitchen!
I'm just joshing you guys! Daywind knows I love them. (Waving HI to Crystal, Rhonda, Theresa, Brian, Norm.....and the list goes on!)

SOGO STUMPER OF THE MONTH:
Traveling to my mother's funeral, my husband and I heard a song which was so amazing. The DJ did not give the name of the artist or the song. It contains these lines:
My greatest loss today is heaven's gain"
"Mama's walking on the streets of gold and feeling right at home."
Can you tell me the name of the song and who recorded it so I can purchase it.
Thanks.
ANSWER:
Well unnamed person, I'm at a loss. I got nothing on this one. Anyone that can help can feel free to email their response to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) .
Well, that's it for another edition of Ask SoGospelNews. Maybe someday my A Different Perspective article will get the kind of reads this one does. Until then, go pick up your copy of the latest from The Martins and LordSong. Trust me, progressive is GOOD.

I think this a neat idea for an article. I don't know if you get enough questions.. but a weekly article of this type would be neat. Seems like a month is a long time to wait for an answer to our probing questions. I realize some of the ?s probably take a little investigation,.. but anyway.. give it some thought. Good job,.. so far.
Is this article ever coming back? Will there be any more questions? I thought it was a good idea.. Maybe I was the only one.
i need the sound track to THE NEXT STEP
i need the sound track also to IT WILL BE HARD NOT TO CRY BY THE SHEPARDS THANK YOU IT WAS OUT IN 90S
I`m looking for the lyrics to the song "Wait For An Answer" it`s a gospel song my sister and I use to sing years ago our copy got destroyed in the 1993 MO flood. I remember part of it ,but not all of it. Can you please help me and e-mail me a copy if you can find it. The part I remember goes like this----
i am looking for the sound track " Order My Steps in your word "
Asking again...
My question is, As I scan through different recording companies and see their various packages for a project, I was wondering, do the major groups who for instance has a recording contract with a company have to pay for their project?
I'm looking for a song that I heard at a funeral.
Hi all, I guess I'm the guy who replaced Johnathan in New Destiny Quartet. They are a bunch of 'cool' guys. I've been singing with them for the past 9 months and have been loving it.
