Our First Mission’s TRIP!

Well, Welcome to August...My goodness, how TIME flies! We are getting ready for a lot of excitement this month. We are finishing up our new project “Live to Love.” We are traveling to brand new states like New Hampshire and Massachusetts...along with lots of other brand new churches and conferences!

The most exciting thing is that we are headed out soon to our very first mission’s trip. We are going to the country of Bolivia with Compassion International. Compassion is amazing and it has truly changed our lives. This organization reaches out to children in need. And they do not just minister to the physical needs but most importantly, they minister to the spiritual needs of these kids and their families. You can learn more about Compassion by clicking on the Compassion link on our website at http://www.hopescall.com

We will be traveling with Claude and Connie Hopper, Ed Leonard, Dottie Leonard Miller, Compassion Rep and dear friend Zane king and his wife, and also with some contemporary artists like Wayne Watson... (WOW, I love his music).

We will land between two very large mountains from what I hear. I was told that it could take some time just to recover from the major force of the landing in the country. I have also been told that people have encountered large anaconda snakes on trips like this in times past. I have been told to bring very few items for my safety. Basically, they said don’t bring anything you want to keep...Yeek...Needless to say, I have been spending alot of time in prayer...LOL!

The best part of our trip is that we will get to meet our sponsored child Ana Maria! She is beautiful and I am so excited to meet her. I am planning to bring her some surprises and also...I am going to bring a gift for her family.

Please keep us in prayer as we get to see Compassion at work first hand. We love this ministry organization and we couldn't be more excited to go on this trip. Pray for our safety and health and the well being of our sweet kids while we are away. It is hard to leave them for 12 days. That is a long time! But I am sure it will go by fast.

The trip itinerary goes something like this...We will fly out of Pennsylvania (we are singing there just before the trip to Bolivia) and into Miami for the long flight to Bolivia and after the trip we will fly back in to Michigan for one date before we head south to Birmingham, AL. After Birmingham we are off to a huge Hurricane relief concert in Louisiana! The governor is coming...We are so excited to get to be a part of that. So that is a crazy 12 days huh? It begins August 18th and we return on August 30th.

God has been so good to us. We have seen over 160 souls trust Christ so far this year and over 150 children sponsored through Compassion!

Please keep us in prayer. We want to LIVE TO LOVE people and most of ALL to LIVE to LOVE and SHARE CHRIST!

Drop us a note or leave us a comment! We would love to hear from you.

Blessings!

Donna
