Sharron Kay King - Jun 06

Hi folks. It's hard to believe that it's time to write another article for SoGospelNews! Where in the world did May go? It seems I just wished my mother Happy Mothers Day and now Fathers Day is upon us. Good grief!!!

This month I thought I'd take the opportunity to fill you all in on what's been going on in my little world the last few months.

Family News: I have spent the last several weeks relocating back to my hometown of Richmond, IN. I was born and raised here. Most of my family live here and now that I have grandchildren; well, enough said! That explains it all!! I love being close to my family. We only have them for a short time and I felt I was missing out on so much. Being on the road more than half of the year I rarely had time to see them for very long at one time. Now I live within a few blocks of my grand babies and you betcha, I see them nearly every day!

Radio News: DJ's thank you so much for playing and charting, "Chin Up, Journey On". I am so happy to know that you and your listeners are enjoying this toe tapping tune!

On the music side of life: God has opened the door for me to record again. Praise His holy name!!!!

Recently I was in Nashville laying down the tracks for my upcoming CD. It sounds wonderful. I have penned three songs for this project. I feel they are songs of encouragement and hope. I love songs that uplift and inspire people to stay on the journey. Three other songs I have recorded are penned from the ever talented Daryl Mosley. We all remember his song from The Booth Brothers last year, "The Blind Man Saw It All". I'm feel very fortunate that Daryl has allowed me to record his songs.

My good pal, Les Butler is producing this project along with engineer, Terry Thompson at Upfront Studios in Nashville. I can't wait to hear the completed project. I am currently praying for direction on a title.

A big thank you to friends and family who have made contributions toward this project. Your donations toward this ministry is always appreciated and put to use for the Kingdom! If you feel that you would like to make a donation toward the completion of this project please see address listed below.

Many other things have been moving forward for Songs of Sharron Ministries. Management & booking information has changed. A new website is in the works. Isn't it exciting to set and watch God move? I love knowing that if we believe we can receive! Be watching for updates right here on SoGospelNews.com

I have to admit some of the changes I've seen take place this year have literally scared me to death. But I have learned throughout my 19 years of serving God, that He has never let me down. Sometimes God will allow certain things in our life to be torn down just to enable Him to rebuild it. I love the way God likes to show off! He is ever faithful and always on time…. I love walking with Him! Trusting Him is always a good thing!

Please continue to pray for this ministry along with others who are traveling the highways and byways doing our part to share this "good news" with folks all over the world. If we will all bind together in one mind and one accord we will begin to see mighty things begin to happen.. We are all called to serve. Let's serve one another so that we may prove to be pleasing in God's sight.

Until next month, "Chin Up, Journey On"!!!!! ( I heard someone say that one time) haha

In Jesus,

I am so looking forward to having you and guitar granny at the outreach on June 24 in Greenfield, In. in the WalMart parking lot. What better place than the "saving place"! It is going to be a wonderful "Day In The Son"!

We missed you when you went to Greenwood but our invitation will always be open for you to stay in our mother-in-law quarters when ever you are in the Indpls area. Looking forward to your singing praises for JESUS and for you testimony.
Looking to JESUS. That is always the answer. I am sure that with all the changes in your life in the past year that would scare many people but with JESUS as our best friend and GOD as our guiding light we then become very calm. You and your family are always in our prayers. Big Al and Marsha
