Sharron Kay King - He Put A Song In My Mouth

Psalms 40:3  And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Oh how I love to sing for Jesus! I love to sing of His goodness; of His mercy; and of His grace. I just love to sing about Him!!! Anytime I take the stage I feel so small in the presence of God. To think that He has allowed me this privilege. It just amazes me.

Like David I want to lift my voice and use my talents for the glory of God. I desire to have a heart like David. What a psalmist! What a worshipper! When I read his writings I am so inspired. The flow of his words; the depth of his message. Oh to praise God as David did.

We read in  II Samuel 6:14  And David danced before the LORD with all his might;  Do we dance with all our might? Do we even praise Him with all our heart? In today's world of pride and self worth I often see folks that will not even lift their hands in praise to our Lord and Savior. I realize some cultures and some religious beliefs are satisfied with setting and hearing the word and that's fine. I don't want to offend anyone. But as long as there is breath in my body I will praise the Lord with all my might!

When I'm in concert I love to raise my hands in praise to my friend. My Lord. My God. For it was He who gave His life's blood to purchase my salvation. He raised His hands for me so why should I not do the same for Him? Jesus is worthy of all praise and adoration. Oh don't get me wrong, there are times when I just love to embrace His presence. I love to fold my arms across my chest and hold Him tight.

There are so many ways to praise Him. Some folks love to close their eyes and meditate some like to dance and perhaps let out a holler! As long as it's descent and in order we can praise Him however we choose. It doesn't matter to me how I praise Him as long as my praise is for Him!

As we reflect on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ this month, perhaps try lifting your hands wherever you may be and praise Him for His wonderful sacrifice. You might stir something within the hearts of those around you. It could open a door of opportunity to witness!

Anyway; on to other things:

The past five weeks I've been on tour traveling through the states of Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida. I was so blessed to have met so many nice folks on every stop. I received such kindness and encouragement from everyone. Many folks put me up in their homes and were so kind to me I just have to make mention of their kindness. Sandy and JR in Georgia. The Glovers in Kentucky. Cheri Taylor in Southern Indiana. Not just this trip but all along my journey God has lead me into the paths of some of the nicest people that have been such a blessing to me.They have all become very dear friends.

A special thank you to WJTG in Central Georgia for having me come back to be part of your Radio Rally Concert with Ricky Atkinson and Compassion. Tracy and Sue you are wonderful! Keep up the "God" work!!!

To all the Pastors and the fine folks who came out to be with me in service, thank you. My heart sings a song of thanksgiving for all that God has done for me and is doing in my life. And I am grateful for all of you who support me and pray for me.

Don't forget to call your favorite Southern Gospel station and request my new single, "Chin Up Journey On".

Keep me in mind when planning your next concert or special event. I would love the opportunity to come and praise Jesus with you!

Until next time;   Chin Up... Journey On!

Psalms 9:1  I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvelous works.

Sharron is a songwriter that I admire. I have been privileged to be present while she has been writing music. I have seen the process. She has a tender heart for the music that God would have her write. And an ear to listen to His voice.

I saw Sharon Kay for the first time at SGM FanFair this year. I wanted to stand and worship with her, but all I could do was sit in my seat, with tears streaming down my face, in total awe and reverence of the anointing on her life. I have no doubt this precious lady has "the goods".

Proverbs has so much wisdom. You must look deep into the the word (not interpret) but simply look deep into the word. Proverbs 6:16 speaks of the things that our Lord hates. We know that each thing represents sin. When I read this scripture, I turn it around and it can be applied in our lives. Sharrons' songs and testimonies are all filled with the things that are just opposite of the things quoted in this verse. I have found that if a Christian displays true LOVE in their lives everything else will fall in place. I, like many others are so touched with the Holy Spirit when Sharron is around that I find myself sitting with tears in my eyes, looking at my inward self thinking how our Savior gave his life for us and wondering why I am worthy of this sacrifice. It is then, that I go back to the word of GOD and can fully understand. That is why without a doubt, I know that JESUS is my best Friend. Thank you again, Sharron for putting into words, my thoughts.
