Crabb Family - Live At Brooklyn Tabernacle

Produced by – Jason Crabb, Aaron Crabb, Adam Crabb, and Kelly Bowling
Recorded at – Brooklyn Tabernacle – New York
Label: Daywind Music
Website: http://www.thecrabbfamily.com

Not every group can produce a great “live” recording, but there was no hindrance to the Crabb Family as they stepped on the stage of the well known Brooklyn Tabernacle in New York City. If you are fortunate enough to have the DVD, you can see how the Crabb Family interacts with the crowd and how a true spirit of worship exudes from all of them. It is amazing to watch them as they perform as a team. There are no individual stars as each of the Crabb Family perform their hearts out on this DVD. It is apparent that they were on a mission with this concert and that was to see someone blessed as they sing.

This CD and DVD/Video is a repeat of many of their previous hits with the added element of “live” spontaneity. You will thrill to hearing such hits as “Greater Is He”. “Don’t You Wanna Go?”, “Please Come Down To Me”, “Please Forgive Me”, and “Lamb, Lion, and King”.

It is a special treat to see the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir singing with the Crabbs on “Through The Fire”. With that many powerful voices behind them, there was a special energy about them as they ministered that song to the congregation. A touching moment comes just after “Through The Fire” as Jason shares his testimony about the loss of their first child and the birth of their second. Appropriately, Jason goes into another chorus of “Through The Fire”, clearly touching all the hearts there.

The personal touch of worship is easily felt as Jason invites everyone to join them in singing “Holy Ground” and “Amazing Grace.”

The whole family comes together again as Gerald joins in on “The Reason That I’m Standing”, and “Something’s Going On In The Graveyard”. You are also treated to hear Gerald’s personal testimony which is worth the price of the CD/DVD by itself. You may want to do a little shouting yourself as you listen and watch this part. They close out the program with a rousing rendition of “Lamb, Lion, and King.”

Another great feature of the DVD is a message by Brookly Tabernacle Pastor Jim Cymbala.

This CD is more than worth the purchase price and is must for anyone wanting to see more of the personal ministry of the Crabb Family

James Hales's avatar This is a great CD. As far as any new music, this doesn't offer any...they rehash many of their former hits as well as a few other songs of theirs.

But this is a top notch recording and is great to listen to over and over again. The DVD is superb and the extra's that come along with the DVD is definitely worth the price.

James Hales's avatar By the way, I probably would have given it 4 1/2 stars, but since it basically rehashes old and familiar music, I can live with the 4 stars.

Loved the CD! Enjoyed all the older songs. I played it over and over!

Hi. Does anyone know what song Jason Crabb sang with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir at the Billy Graham Crusade on Sunday 6/26. The first few lyrics of the chorus is something like "I'm amazed..." I don't know what song it is or where I can find it...it's really good.

I have been a fan for some time. I've seen them live, talked to them, been in altar services multiple times, and have all their live concert DVDs I believe. This group is under the guidance/annointing of God I believe with all my heart. If they aren't they have fooled me BIG TIME!

This DVD from Brooklyn Tabernacle, in my opinion, is one of the greatest gospel live performances I've ever seen. This is the real deal folks. Also Pastor Jim Cymbala does a wonderful job with his brief message and leading the altar service; he can preach me a sermon ANYTIME. Arguably the best live southern gospel recording of all time in my opinion...

Can't wait for the next one... grin

Going to see them in a pentecostal church this Thursday coming up (7-21-05) in Norton, VA.

    Leon
