The New Plainsmen

Traveling the 9 state area in the Midwest, otherwise known as the Plain states, The New Plainsmen Quartet sing not solely for the purpose of singing, but to watch God work through their singing.

Beginning their journey in 1999, The New Plainsmen Quartet have traveled thousands of miles, recorded 3 projects, appeared on television, and shared the stage many times with some of the biggest names in Southern Gospel Music.

The New Plainsmen Quartet consists of all born and raised minister's sons. Dale Ozment, from Tecumseh, OK, sings lead. James Sparks, emcee, manager, and tenor singer, is from Chickasha, OK. Renee Sparks, James' wife, travels as sound engineer for the quartet. Dwain Petty, baritone for the group resides in Plano, TX. And lastly, Billy Dotson, known ot have a voice as big as Texas, sings bass for the quartet and hales from Kaufman, TX.

When you ask The New Plainsmen Quartet what their goal is they'll give you one answer. "We want what God wants. Sure we want to be successful in the industry, but we want to be more successful in God's will," states James. "There's a fine line between entertainment and ministry. We do it all. We've got a vision to go as far as we can, to pull off all limitations."

Life on the road with these boys is quoted to be a "blast". "We have more fun than any group. We have our own 'built in' comedians. We know how to be serious when need be, but we love to just have fun. What we cherish most is seeing souls saved or people that come in down, but leave on cloud 9." This quartet's last single has touched many lives. "If You Could See Where I am" spoke to many hearts and lives. "This song has touched so many lives. We get calls and orders weekly," states James.

The New Plainsmen Quartet have seen much success in their latest singles. "My God Is Big Enough" and "If You Could See Where I Am" both are promoted by Rick Hendrix Company. "If You Could See Where I Am" debuted at #59, the highest debut song on the charts for The New Plainsmen Quartet.

It has been said that after hearing The New Plainsmen Quartet you will become an instant friend and fan. I think this can be stated as a true fact. After talking with them, and hearing their testimonies and stories, I truly believe they are doing what needs to be done in this industry. A right amount of harmonies, mixed with a little entertainment, and adding the right amount of ministry, they come out to be a very effective gospel group!

The New Plainsmen's latest single is "God Made A Way". This is their third single. "God Made A Way" is was released through Kim and Tony Hudgin's Heaven"s Talent Promotional Company.

For anyone attending The National Quartet Convention this year, The New Plainsmen will be singing on Heaven's Talent Showcase Friday 8:30 AM and their booth spaces are 523, 525, and 527.

Love the song, "If You Could See Where I Am". I've told my husband I want that song sang at my funeral. I attend EvansDale Community Church in a (town) spot alongside the road, on a hill in Evans, Mo. It's on hwy. 14 E. out of Ava, Mo. How wonderful it would be to have you'll come to our church. Our Pastor Dale Garrison is a wonderful person. (He has a wooden leg, and makes jokes about it and himself) His email address is .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) It would be awesome to listen to you'll perform for us and God. Thanks, In Christ, Betty
