Did You Realize?

I can remember as a child sitting in Sunday School and hearing about that place where Jesus walked and seeing the pictures in my Dad's Bible. As I got a little older, we bought a set of Collier Encyclopedias and alas, there were more pictures of Israel, Egypt, and Persia (as it was called then, now we call it Iran). Once we even had an evangelist who had been to Israel and brought back slides to show to the churches he preached in.

Then during Basic Training with the Air Force in 1967, the 6-day War broke out (showing my age a bit here), there were six Israelis and six Arabs in my barracks. I gained a new understanding of just how serious the Middle East is about that situation over there. These six Arabs were actually trying to kill the Israelis, and the Israelis weren't exactly just standing by, as they were trying to kill the Arabs. These were all Americans and yet the hatred was there. But, that was concluded in six days and I sort of put it out of my mind.

In the 1970s the Jesus Movement was in full swing and the main theme that seemed to be drifting about was the return of Jesus with a lot of Prophecy teaching and preaching going on. The evangelists teaching on Prophecy brought their maps and charts and once again the focus was on the Middle East.

Moving up to the 90s we started seeing news items of the Middle East, almost nightly. Have you noticed that today there is not only news of the Middle East nightly, but hourly on the TV and radio? If we look hard enough we can see the strife of Ishmael and Isaac. After all, doesn't all this trouble and strife in the Middle East really go back to that?

Did you realize that the whole world is set up so that just one or two tragic events, such as Saudi Arabia's oil fields, or Iran's oil fields being destroyed, or nuclear weapons being found and used against Israel could bring about such chaos that one world leader would be needed? If a disaster like one of these happened, even the super power of the United States wouldn't be able to bring the situation under control. Did you realize that the Antichrist could very well be in position to answer the call?

I don't have any idea who he might be, but I can certainly see where it could happen and happen quickly. Did you realize that we could soon hear a trumpet blast? I'm telling everybody in the services that we conduct, if you even think that you hear a trumpet soundâ€¦. JUMP, just in case.

Did you Realize? that Jesus could be coming again any day, maybe even today?
