Gold Rush 2003 Unites SGN Message Board Members

imageGold Rush 2003 was recently held in Dahlonega, Georgia on October 18th & 19th. This yearly event is hosted by the Perrys and their brother, Randy Perry. The Gold Rush event usually draws between 30,000 and 40,000 people. This year was no exception. Festival goers enjoyed great gospel music, arts, crafts, a parade, awesome food, fun and games.

New Ground from Alabama, along with the Pioneers from Georgia, were privileged to be a part of the Saturday Singing. Pictured are Hurley Spinks of the Pioneers and Robbie Maxwell of New Ground as they chat about Southern Gospel Music.

That sure is a purty picture, Robbie! :D For those of you who did not make it to Goldrush Days, you sure did miss a great time. Ya'll make a point of taking time to go there next year and I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

What a great time we had at Gold Rush. It was a pleasure to meet with Robbie and the guys with New Ground. They have such a solid sound and, even more important, a solid spirit. We look forward to singing with them next year. Y'all COME!
If you are wondering, Hurley always wears his  Day AND Night!

Is this the same NEW GROUND that has the song "Hands Scarred By The Nails" ?

If it is.. Great song! It just moved into our top 30 (heavy rotation) on sglive365.com RADIO.
