THIS IS IT!

THIS IS IT! Is It??? There has been so much hype about one person over the past two or three months, about one statement-THIS IS IT! It has been talked about over and over again. Often times it dominates even the most important news of the day. The real statement should be Is This It? Stay with me on this one. We put so many things ahead of God that we can't tell what or who our true God is. Sports, is this it? Money, is this it? Fame, is this it? This name church or that name church, is this it? Exploring other religions, is this it? Being open minded on things that are absolute truth has been one of the biggest sins that we as Christians have in our lives, including ME. I know that the statement, This Is It, was about the final tour and movie of this famous person, but the hype afterwards goes to show us that the people of this world are looking for something bigger than themselves. They are looking for someone that will fill a void, or change their life and fix their problems. More and more, people are looking for a God-like person; a person that they think has the power to be bigger than the one true God. Is he it? Is it her? It all boils down to this. God-Jesus-Holy Spirit, THIS IS IT!! No other person in this life or the life to come is more important that the Three in One God we serve. God is our provider, Jesus is our Savior, and the Holy Spirit is our guide and comforter. What else do we as Christians need? What else do we need to talk to our lost friends and family about? This Is It! Absolute truth is just that, absolute. A well know atheist, Penn Jillette of Penn and Teller, said it best - If you believe that there is a heaven and a hell, how much do you have to hate a person not to tell them about it. Google "Penn Jillette-A gift of a Bible" and listen on youtube to what he has to say. It will blow you away as it did me.
