Southern Gospel Moves to Thurs. Nights Starting June 4 on GMC

Gaither Gospel Hour & New Hit Series Four: Southern Gospel’s Best Get New Night

ATLANTA (May 27, 2009) -- The heavenly harmonies of southern gospel music will croon one night over from their current prime time slot when the Gaither Gospel Hour and Four: Southern Gospel’s Best moves to Thursday nights beginning June 4 on Gospel Music Channel (GMC).

GMC’S NEW THURSDAY NIGHT LINE UP as of June 4

8:00 P.M. Gaither Gospel Hour
9:00 P.M. Gaither Gospel Hour
10:00 P.M. FOUR: Southern Gospel’s Best

All Times ET/PT

Gaither Gospel Hour features performances from the sell-out and legendary “Gaither Homecoming” annual concert tours that have drawn millions of fans and also includes occasional Gaither-produced specials such as “He Touched Me: The Gospel Music of Elvis Presley” and “The Gospel Music of Johnny Cash. The series is also seen Sundays mornings at 11:00 a.m. and 12 Noon.

Four: Southern Gospel’s Best features exclusive new performances by the top names and future stars of Southern Gospel music. Performing artists featured include: The Dove Brothers Quartet, The Hoppers, The Kingdom Heirs, Brian Free & Assurance, Gold City, Greater Vision, Isaacs, Karen Peck & New River, The Perrys, The Easters, The Kingsmen and many more. The series will also feature behind-the-scenes footage to provide a personal look at the lives of the quartet members. Brian Free (Brian Free & Assurance) hosts. Four: Southern Gospel’s Best encores Sundays at 1:00 p.m.

Gospel Music Channel (http://www.gospelmusicchannel.com) is the fastest-growing network in television and can be seen in 45 million homes on various cable systems around the country, on DIRECTV on channel 338 and on Verizon FiOS on channel 224.
