Well, it's soon to be available on DVD. That's right. For all of you out there who think you've already heard enough about us we've got a little something for you. The first week of April we will be traveling to Holland, Ohio to do a video with our friends The Toney Brothers. This will take place at the WPOS Center and is in celebration of Terry Toney, two time winner in the National Head Butting Championships.
I've also heard, from a very reliable source who also writes my paychecks, that our new project will be finished within two weeks. This is very exciting for all of us. The project, yet to be titled, features the voices of Mark Blackwood, Daniel Blackwood Childs, David Mann and Brad Smith. Personally, for me this is a milestone recording. Over the past several months, I've gotten to see just why Mark Blackwood has won the Grammy Award for producing not once, but twice. I'm proud to be a part of this recording.
Now, back to the live video recording. I grew up in south eastern Michigan, just 30 minutes from Holland, Ohio. I've been to many gospel concerts at the old WPOS Center and was a regular listener of their radio station. What's so ironic to me, is that the very first time I ever saw the Toney Brothers it was in that very same building, back when I was a teenager. Now, nearly 10 years later, I'm going to be sharing the stage with them as part of the Blackwood Gospel Quartet.
What many of you probably do not know, is that the Toney Brothers and The Blackwoods have a lot of history together as well. Alden Toney, founder of the Toney Brothers back in 1955, was tenor singer for the Blackwood Brothers from 1948 to 1951. This video taping will be a time of rememberance and great fun for both groups. Be sure and keep an eye on http://www.bgqmusic.com for the exact date and time of this great event.

Also, Daniel and I have each started a blog to give you two different angles of BGQ life on the road. Check out the Big D Promo video here . Or you can simply go straight to the blogs by following Daniel's link or David's link . Hope to see you there.
God Bless,
