2009 was the year of the ballad as four of the top five songs on the 2009 Year End Countdown were big ballads from some of Southern Gospel's most prestigious names. The Talley Trio was the most played artist of 2009 - earning two songs in the Top 5 with "My Hope Is In the Lord" and "Life Goes On". Other top played artists included The Perrys, Greater Vision, Karen Peck & New River, and Mike & Kelly Bowling!

Augusta - the Top 50 songs are based on airplay for the entire year from the SoGospelNews.com Top 40 Weekly Chart. Mike Upright's "When I Lay My Isaac Down" did not gain enough points to make the year-end Top 50 songs. Thanks for your interest!
